In this course, Dr. Kenneth Kwong focused on the F-I-S-H (Financial capital, Intellectual capital, Social Capital, and Human capital) of his lectures. Dr. Kenny Siu introduced ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and explained the concept of sustainable development. Mr. Patrick Li delivered a class on tax, he had briefly explained the differences in tax systems between Hong Kong and Singapore. Dr. Michael Kwong explained the concept of trusts, foundational trust arrangements, and the role of trusts in asset succession.

In this course, Ms. Ivy Leung discussed the concept of trusts from a legal and enforcement perspective. She had presented the definition of trusts and introduced various types of trusts. Dr. Kenneth Kwong explained the concept of succession, including the processes of preservation, resource integration, and sharing. Additionally, he introduced the concept of “Financial capital, Intellectual capital, Social Capital and Human capital (FISH),” exploring the importance of these four capitals in the context of succession. Dr Louis Poon spoke about the structure, definition, and types of family office, as well as the positioning of family offices in the Chinese community.

In this course, Ms. Ivy Leung discussed Hong Kong’s common law and family trusts. Ms. Lee Eva talked about trust strategies and concepts. Mr. Stephen Chan shared knowledge on foundational trust arrangements and tax principles in different countries. Dr. Louis Poon focused on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) aspects, covering the development of ESG finance in Hong Kong and globally.

In this course, Dr Michael Kwong provided insights into the structure, fundamental concepts, and services of family office. He presented the definition from Family Office Association and make the discussion among students to further explore and define the concept. Additionally, he delved into the historical development, roles, and societal forms of family offices. He also explained various types of family offices, such as Single family office, Multi-family office, Hybrid family office, Virtual family office and Functional family office. He outlined the core functions of family office.

In this course, Ms Ivy Leung shared cases about trusts. She introduced the concept of trusts and benefits of establishing them. Ms. Eva Lee discussed the role of trusts in asset inheritance and the advantages of setting up a family trust before going on the list. Dr. Louis Poon focused on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) topics which included financial development and products related to ESG. He also talked about the pros and cons of existing ESG funds. Ms Kathleen Wang talked about an overview of taxation in Hong Kong. She made a tax comparison between Hong Kong and Singapore. Finally, she discussed Common Reporting Standard (CRS) and other investment examinations.

In this course, Dr Kenneth Kwong introduced the frameworks of F-I-S-H (Financial capital, Intellectual capital, Social Capital, and Human capital). He discussed the concept of succession in family offices and methods of succession under the FISH framework. Dr. Louis Poon talked about the structure and historical development of family offices, their types, and core functions. He also mentioned the assistance provided by Hong Kong government’s policies to family offices.

In this course, Dr. Kenneth Kwong introduced the concept and development of family inheritance during this training course. He focused on providing participants with insights into family wealth succession under the frameworks of F-I-S-H, (Financial capital, Intellectual capital, Social Capital, and Human capital).
