Speaker: Bunny Ling, CEO of Leyard
In this lecture, Mr Ling shared the projects and work done by Leyard, and highlighted the close connection between their work and ADD curriculum and degree. They are focusing on their integration of art, culture, and technology in China’s cultural tourism industry. Leyard combines technology and culture to create unique experiences, attract tourists, and drive urban development. They use innovative digital technology to enhance cultural and tourism possibilities, creating appealing destinations with economic benefits.

Speaker: Dr. Yeung Wai-shing, Frankie, BBS, MH, JP, Vice-Chairman of Hong Kong Arts Development Council, Members of Hong Kong Film Development Council
In this lecture, the speaker, Dr. Yeung Wai-shing, Frankie used SWOT analysis to examine the development prospects of Hong Kong in the cultural and artistic. He mentioned that in China’s “14th Five-Year Plan,” support is provided for Hong Kong to become a hub for cultural and artistic exchanges between China and foreign countries, serving as a gateway for the import and export of cultural and artistic endeavors. Additionally, Dr. Yeung highlighted the complementary nature between Hong Kong and the mainland, which can generate synergistic effects.

In this talk, the authors of 《香港非物質文化遺產系列: 紮作技藝》 shared the story of the inheritance of Paper Crafting in Hong Kong. They engaged in a dialogue with Mr. Leung from Sang Woo Loong, discussing the evolution of paper crafting. During the discussion, they touch upon the meaning of paper crafting, classification, and the scope of its application, while showcasing several precious photographs.

Dr. Kan Tai-Keung is a renowned graphic designer and accomplished ink painter known for his passion for art and design promotion. During the lecture, Dr. Kan shared insights into the creative process and showcased his artworks. It provided an opportunity for attendees to gain a deeper understanding of his artistic journey and the techniques he employs in his creative endeavors.

Speaker: Mr. Eddie Lui, Hong Kong artist
The event “CLOSE ENCOUNTER: Contemporary Ink versus Calligraphic Stele, Coarse Clay, and Discarded Wood.” featured artist Eddie Lui, who transitioned from a banking career to pursue visual art full-time. Mr. Lui has been trained by renowned Chinese ink masters like Lui Shou-kwan, Wucius Wong, and Laurence C.S. Tam. He explores and creates art using different various mediums, including ink, ceramic, and wood. Mr. Lui’s works have been showcased in institutions like M+, The Hong Kong Museum of Art, and University Museum and Art Gallery. In this talk, Mr. Lui shared insights from his recent exhibition at the Library of the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong.
