The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) has a rich history that includes its previous identities as Hang Seng School of Commerce (HSSC), established in 1980. In 2010, HSSC was restructured and became Hang Seng Management College (HSMC). In 2018, HSMC was granted approval by the HKSAR Government to rename as “The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong.”

Established in 2024, the University Archives (HSUHK Archives) is dedicated to identifying, collecting, and preserving records of historical significance to the University. It supports teaching, learning, research activities, and administrative functions. The Archives also fosters awareness, appreciation, and proper use of this documentary heritage. The Archives staff provides advice and collaborates with various units to collect archival materials.

The holdings will be progressively described in online finding aids (coming soon), and selectively digitized archives will also be made available. Many of our records are still under their closure period and are not currently accessible.

We welcome personal donations of materials, especially those related to campus life, such as photos, documents, and memorabilia that predate 2018. For more information, please see “Echoes of the Past: Collection of Hang Seng Memories.” If you have any inquiries regarding the University Archives, please contact us via email at libuasc@hsu.edu.hk.
