Statistical Information for China

Have you wondered where to find official survey and census data in China? The China Statistical Yearbooks Database (中國統計年鑒數據庫) is a great source with data from central, provincial and local levels. It is a digital repository of data published officially by the mainland Chinese government. The Library’s subscription offers full-text access of yearbooks from the earliest to the most recent issues.

Access Resources beyond HSMC Library for Year 3 and Final Year Degree Students

Good news for Year 3 and Final Year degree students!
The Library is pleased to announce that the pilot run of the CUHK and HKSYU borrowing library card services to Final Year students is extended for another academic year until the end of August 2015. In addition, the pilot run also includes Year 3 degree students. With immediate effect, all Year 3 and Final Year Degree students are able to borrow the cards upon presenting of their valid student cards at HSMC Library service counters.
The reader’s cards allow students to access to the CUHK and HKSYU Libraries, use their library resources including printed and some electronic resources, as well as facilities and reference services in the Libraries.

The book “Pathfinding – Discover of My Way” will be sold during the sharing sessions.

Based on the true stories from the mentors and their accompany children who lost their directions in lives, the book is about the Modern Apprenticeship Programme published by Breakthrough Limited.

24/7 @ 24 Hours Study Area (1 – 24 December 2014)

To facilitate students’ study and preparation for examination, the Library operates the 24 Hours Study Area to provide 24/7 access (i.e. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week) on the G/F of the Library during the following period:
1 Dec, 2014 (Mon 8:30 am) – 24 Dec, 2014 (Wed 7:30 am)

To ensure safety, the Area is safeguarded by the Security Guard. Library users are required to have valid student ID cards in order to access to the Area. Please tab your valid student cards to the card reader next to the side door (G/F of the Library) to enter the Area.
