Opening of the Exhibition 念 · Mnemonic

A warmful opening took place on 13 April 2022 with vote of thanks given by Professor Desmond Hui, Head of Department of Art and Design, to Professor Alexander Law in making the Exhibition · Mnemonic come true. The highlight falls to the tour led by Professor Alexander Law in which he briefed the guests about the background of his creations and his connection with landscapes of different cities in his drawings.

Visit the Exhibition, no matter virtual or on-site, and you will be fascinated by the sketches.

Avoiding Plagiarism

The Library has prepared a new tutorial with the technology tool of H5P for the Referencing and Citation Guide which is both educational and fun. You will know about how to use information ethically and avoid plagiarism not only by viewing informative slides, but also by taking part in various interactive activities, such as scenario questions, flashcard games and quizzes.

· Mnemonic, an Exhibition of drawings by Professor Alexander S. W. Law, is now on view at the Library.

The Exhibition showcases the mnemonics of Professor Law in visual forms. The sketches range from city skylines, scenic points all over the world and more that are meaningful to Professor Law. Come to feel the heart-warming moments through the drawings and be associated with the artist’s precious memories.

Good Sharing of AAD Public Lecture – Architecture, Culture and Language

It was an honor to have Professor Alexander Law as the speaker of Public Lecture Series: Architecture, Culture and Language organized by the Department of Art and Design on 13 April 2022. Professor Law talked about architecture as a form of non-verbal expression of cultures, together with the interaction among architecture, culture, language and art. Both as an architect and an artist, Professor Law also illustrated in detail what a building represented over time and space and how important town planning was.
