Library New E-Resources

With the following new e-Resources provided by the Library, you can access these useful information at anytime and anywhere.

 

The Library has currently subscribed to Business Source Complete and has made an upgrade to Business Source Ultimate which provides more comprehensive full-text access to journals of business, including marketing, management, accounting economics and finance.

 

The Cambridge Companions to Literature and Classics collection offers thousands of comprehensive and accessible essays on major authors, periods and genres, written by experts and designed for student readers.

 

CultureGrams (via ProQuest)
CultureGrams is an online reference database which goes beyond basic facts and figures on more than 200 countries, with up-to-date reports detailing daily life and culture, history, customs and lifestyle from an insider’s perspective.

 

Eight new collections including Arts & Science I, II, IV and VI, Business IV, Business & Economics, Asia Collection as well as Mathematics & Statistics have been purchased.

 

This collection features a range of primary sources related to international relations between Asian countries and the West during the 19th century and provides access to invaluable documents.

 

The database provides access to over 1,700 case studies from around the world. Contents include marketing, operations management, small business & entrepreneurship, international business and human resource management.

 

A diverse collection features more than 140 hours of video, including in-depth interviews with experts from across the globe on topics as innovation management, corporate social responsibility and social media marketing.

 

To access these databases, simply search the database name under Databases A-Z list in the Library website. Then, click the hyperlink to access the resource.

Another Discovery Experience to Explore More Chinese EBooks

We have more than 130,000 Chinese eBook subjects in Chinamaxx database enhanced, a more fruitful discovery of titles is now available.

 

To find out the difference, simply put in subject terms such as Chinese poetry, Chinese literature, Essays, Fiction, Language and languages, etc. into the search box and then select “E-Books” from the Resource Type of SearchPlus.

Exhibition of VolTrekkers Service-learning Award

The Library would co-organise an exhibition together with SAO, which is about the VolTrekkers Service-learning Award. The Exhibition will be showcasing the achievement of VolTrekkers such as a series of service-learning projects catering to the needs of people in Hong Kong, China and Cambodia in the previous year. The Library has launched various resources as to support the new programme Cultural and Creative Industries which is just started this September.

 

An online reference database: the Culturegrams via ProQuest is subscribed for retrieving comprehensive information on culture, media, design and heritage. Click HERE to experience a fruitful learning result.

 

Besides, a LIST of core academic journals which is recommended by Faculty is now ready. You can easily download full-text articles or export citations from these journals in helping your assignment and research.

 

The Subject Guides are also ready to help you on searching different kinds of resources such as e-books, reference works, multimedia, news and periodicals.
