Happy Lunar New Year of the Ox!

The Library was flooded with couplets with lucky blessings in the past two days.

Couplet writing is a one of the traditional ways for welcoming Lunar New Year. People inherited many different types of traditions and customs for thousands of years. Experience the Chinese culture and feel the vibes of the Lunar New Year.

The Lunar New Year Exhibition will be held until 26 Feb 2021 in the Library. We look forward to seeing you!

A Warm Welcome to Library Student Ambassadors

Millions of thanks for your enthusiastic support to Library Student Ambassador Programme!

Over 60 students’ applications were received by this new pilot programme. Outstanding students from 5 Schools of the University were selected as our pioneer Library Student Ambassadors after interviews. Welcome them on board.

The first briefing session for the Programme has completed. More skills for information management and work attachment for library services will be arranged for the passionate Ambassadors. You can meet them very soon in library events and outreach services.

Art and Design Public Lectures

‘How cities become cultural?’ is the third session of the Public Lecture Series organized by the Department of Art and Design (AAD) and to be held in the Library.

Speaker of the Lecture, Mr Louis Yu, former Executive Director of the Performing Arts of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, will share with participants how memories, beliefs, creations and daily lives of people in the society shape the culture of a city.

All students and staff are most welcome to join the Lecture. Details as follows:
