Group Viewing Room

Located on the 2/F, the Group Viewing Room is available for viewing the Library’s media resources. The room is equipped with 50″ LED TV, Blu-ray disc player (compatible with DVD, VCD and Audio CD) and comfortable sofa.

Start your learning with peers and friends via booking at Campus Room Booking System.

Media Carrel

You may also view the media on your own at the media carrel outside the Group Viewing Room. It is equipped with 24″ LED TV, Blu-ray disc player and headset. No reservation is needed.

 

 

Computer Clusters

More PCs equipped with full suites of software are available on the 1/F for self-studying, e-learning and researching.

Happy Birthday to HSMC Library

Do you know that the Library is celebrating its First Birthday today?

The Library moved to its current location in Block A on 12 Sept 2012. The small team of library staff had to help to move over 30,000 volumes of books and multimedia items to its new home. Five days later on 17 Sept 2012, the Library opened its doors to the College for the first time.

Students are encouraged to join the orientation workshops to GET A HEAD START of your semester. Seats are limited. Please CLICK for registration.

What you can learn from the workshops:

  • Know your library privileges
  • An overview of library facilities, collections and services
  • Use of library online services and locate needed information
  • Get hands-on practice

Extra 15 mins: Demonstration of Self-Charging Kiosk and Library Tour following the workshop.

Convenience and Fast – With effective from 2 Sept 2013 (Mon), you can use Octopus card to pay library outstanding fines without taking cash from your wallet. Please be reminded to complete the transaction at the counter and take your receipt. .
