New groups of Library Reading Club are coming! This semester, the Library collaborates again with faculties, inviting you to read 《紅樓夢》(facilitated by Dr Cathy Fung and Dr Lam Wing Kin from Department of Chinese), 《人間失格》(facilitated by Dr Anselm Lam from Department of Social Science), and more. VolTrekkers Service-learning Award and Training Scheme (VolTrekkers) is organized by SAO aiming at providing solid service-learning experience for students of HSMC and fostering them to become global citizens. With the generous support from Hong Kong Shun Lung Yan Chak Foundation Limited (香港順龍仁澤基金會), VolTrekkers 2017/18 was concluded successfully.
The exhibition of VolTrekkers held in the Library will be showcasing the achievement of its participants, who have organized a series of service-learning projects catering to the needs of people in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Cambodia. You are cordially invited to know more about their service-learning experience and the impact to society.

Typhoon Mangkhut caused great impact on Hong Kong. Fortunately, the Library survived the typhoon with minor water leakage or infiltration which we have tackled already. Our heartfelt thanks to all those colleagues for the precautionary works and those who had pitched in cleaning up the toppled trees and scattered garbage on campus. Million thanks!

DIY Corner @Library is established with inspiration to the concept of makerspace where encourages people to brainstorm, to construct, and to achieve brilliant ideas through experimental learning. It also provides a new way for students and faculty to interact outside the classroom.
The first DIY Corner Activity is on the way! As the Mid-Autumn Festival is approaching, let’s create lanterns together at the DIY Corner. Details are as follows.
