DIY Corner @Library

DIY Corner @Library is established with inspiration to the concept of makerspace where encourages people to brainstorm, to construct, and to achieve brilliant ideas through experimental learning. It also provides a new way for students and faculty to interact outside the classroom.

The first DIY Corner Activity is on the way! As the Mid-Autumn Festival is approaching, let’s create lanterns together at the DIY Corner. Details are as follows.

Date: 14 September 2018 (Friday)

Time: 4 pm to 5 pm

Venue: DIY Corner, 2/F of the Library

Come and handmade your own lantern. It would be fun!

Seminar on “Copyright and Education” for Academic Staff

To promote awareness of intellectual property rights during the preparation of teaching materials, a seminar on “Copyright and Education” will be conducted in the Library, delivered by the representative from the Intellectual Property Department (IPD) of the HKSAR Government. Details are as follows:

New Bookshelves at 1/F of the Library

During the summer time, the Library has added a number of new bookshelves for open access to more books in the Library while seating area still remains. The current newspapers and magazines are relocated to the window side just a few steps next to the bookshelves. This new arrangement has gone down well with library users.

First Time Self-check Machine User – Easy Borrow and Easy Return

Self-check machine is easy to use for borrowing and returning library items. For the first time user, you have to update the password of your Library Account in order to enjoy this efficient self-help service.

A service table is set up on 1/F of the Library from today until 14 September (11 am to 3 pm) to provide assistance for you. Update your password now and get a special giveaway!
