(Apr 2013/Issue 9)

Find Your Way To Locate Items On Shelf

With the Re-classification Project, We Make a Change for Your Easy Access to the Collection

Books are arranged on shelves by call numbers which represent their subjects. The Library is undertaking a re-classification project to change all the books classified by Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) to Library of Congress Classification (LCC) which is widely used in academic libraries.
During this transitional period, these two types of call numbers will be used in the Library. You have to look under two locations to get all the books in the same subject. For example, if you want to locate Accounting books on the shelves, you should look under the call number range HF5601-5686 for LCC and call number 657 for DDC.

A Mapping Table for LCC and DDC has been prepared to help you finding the books b
