24/7 @ 24 Hours Study Area (6 – 25 May 2013)

To facilitate students’ study and preparation for examination, the Library operates the 24 Hours Study Area to provide 24/7 access (i.e. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week) on the G/F of the Library during the following period:

6 May, 2013 (Mon, 8:30 am) – 25 May, 2013 (Sat, 7:30 am)

To ensure safety, the Area is safeguarded by the Security Guard. Library users are required to have valid student/staff ID cards in order to access to the Area. Please tab your valid student/staff ID cards to the card reader next to the side door.

Find Your Way To Locate Items On Shelf

With the Re-classification Project, We Make a Change for Your Easy Access to the Collection

Books are arranged on shelves by call numbers which represent their subjects. The Library is undertaking a re-classification project to change all the books classified by Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) to Library of Congress Classification (LCC) which is widely used in academic libraries.
During this transitional period, these two types of call numbers will be used in the Library. You have to look under two locations to get all the books in the same subject. For example, if you want to locate Accounting books on the shelves, you should look under the call number range HF5601-5686 for LCC and call number 657 for DDC.

Exhibition – Personal Mental Health: Concern & Guidance

To care for the personal mental health of the HSMC community, the Growth and Counseling Centre of the Student Affairs Office, partnered with the Library has organized an exhibition themed, “Personal Mental Health: Concern & Guidance”.
