Proper Use of Library e-Resources

(Nov 2017/Issue 97)
This is to inform all users on the consequences of improper use of Library e-resources. Through the Library, College subscribes to hundreds of electronic resources (databases, e-journals, e-books, etc.). Copyright law and contractual license agreements govern the access, use, and reproduction of these resources. Violation of the restrictions on the use of licensed materials will result in loss of privileges for the individual and the entire College to access the resources. Most importantly, any infringement of the license terms may cause legal actions from the service providers or publishers.

To prevent from violation of the license terms, library users should adhere to good practices to avoid improper use of e-resources and take note of the Responsible Use of Library E-Resources in the Library website. Should you have any questions, please contact the Library at 3963-5302 or email to ask_librarian@hsmc.edu.hk.
