With hands-on experience earned and exciting projects completed during this year’s Library Student Ambassador Programme, the learning journey of Library Student Ambassadors is concluded with a certificate presentation ceremony held in May 2022, which marked their steps toward personal growth. They freely shared their life experience and discussed the book《被討厭的勇氣》on the way to unlock the power within yourself to change your future with lasting happiness.

In collaboration with the Department of Art and Design, drawings by students from the course AD1101 in Semester 2 (AY2021/22) are now showcased in the Coursework Exhibition – AD1101 Analytical Drawing and Presentation. Under the guidance of Mr Chan Kei Him, students express their creativity with various mediums.

Come visit the Exhibition and appreciate the artworks.

How can you make changes and lead a contented life? The wisdom of Alfred Adler, an Austrian philosopher, expounded in the book《被討厭的勇氣》, will lead you to an insightful answer.

You are welcome to join two sessions of the reading club organized by the Library and get inspired by both the book and lively discussion with other participants. Details are as below:

A brown bag lunch and a welcome pack with a copy of the book will be arranged for every participant. Seats are limited. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Library Student Ambassadors had a fruitful journey this year.

In difficult times of COVID-19, the Ambassadors attended a series of briefing sessions and practical training in the Library. For project initiatives, the Ambassadors not only organized and hosted a reading club online, but also customized learning plans for their fellow students. They find the learning experience at the Library valuable by acquiring presentation, communication, networking and leadership skills. They treasure the friendship between teammates and the good memories are recorded in the Library webpage.

A warmful opening took place on 13 April 2022 with vote of thanks given by Professor Desmond Hui, Head of Department of Art and Design, to Professor Alexander Law in making the Exhibition 念· Mnemonic come true. The highlight falls to the tour led by Professor Alexander Law in which he briefed the guests about the background of his creations and his connection with landscapes of different cities in his drawings.

Visit the Exhibition, no matter virtual or on-site, and you will be fascinated by the sketches.
