The Most-liked Posts of the Library Instagram

Have you followed us on Instagram (IG) yet? The Library has been uploading posts on Instagram regularly to share the latest developments and topics of interest with the University community since 2017.

Till now there are already over 300 posts on the Library IG and all of them are our collective memories. We are glad to host an exhibition to showcase the most popular IG posts and share our special moments in the past three years. Come and visit the exhibition and you may be able to identify familiar faces on the posts!

Using Library Resources for Writing Business Plans

(Issue 153/October 2020)

Jointly organized by the Library and Wu Jieh Yee Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (WUCIE), this workshop will introduce to participants how to make use of resources in the Library to help develop different types of business plans.

Participants will learn various types of credible resources for developing creative ideas, conducting market research and different types of analysis that will help with entrepreneurship and business plan projects. The Startup Resources guide developed for young entrepreneurs will be explored during the session.

Both undergraduates and postgraduate students are welcome to join in. Details as follows:

From New Hollywood to American Dream

‘We are dominated by cinematic spectacles, and from time to time falling in love with the Marvel heroes, yet, behind this spectacular universe, we can see the current social and cultural reflections from Hollywood cinema’, says Dr Chan Ka Ming from the Department of Social Science.

Dr Chan works with the Library to arrange a Friday Movie Series of screening activity: From New Hollywood to American Dream – How does cinema build a dream factory for our society? A Warm Welcome to Our Postgraduate Students

A Library tour and information session were provided to students of the newly launched Executive Master of Science in Insurance on the Orientation Day.

Students attended the session were very much impressed by the variety of Library services available for postgraduate students. At the same time, Library collections can be accessed online and onsite to support students’ studies and research.
