Digital Humanities Lecture Recap

Organised by the School of Humanities and Social Science, the Lecture on digital humanities and libraries was successfully held on 12 January, 2021 at the Space For All@HSUHK Library with online broadcast.

Speaker of the Lecture, Ms Rebekah Wong, Head of Digital and Multimedia Services from the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) Library, shared with the audience HKBU’s experience of using digital technologies to extend the life of scholarly sources for information sharing and research support.

Library Student Ambassador Recruitment

Are you enthusiastic about learning new skill sets, helping library users, and meeting new friends? If yes, you are wanted.

The Library is excited to recruit our first batch of Student Ambassadors. Library Student Ambassadors will learn useful skills to navigate the information world as well as gain work experiences to provide assistance to library services, events and outreach activities.

Selected students will be able to earn iGPS units or ECA hours for training sessions attended and paid for their service hours for the library works.

Workshop for HSUHK Social Innovation Competition

Getting ready to write a proposal for the HSUHK Social Innovation Competition 2021? Here is your chance to learn how to find useful resources on the three Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Various types of information resources in the Library and beyond will be explored in this special workshop to inspire you with ideas for your social innovation research. In the workshop, our Learning Support Librarian will also introduce materials and a variety of presentation tools that will help you write a proposal and develop pitching skills.

Congratulations to high score achievers of the LIB101 Information Skills online programme!

A total of 10 students from the following Schools won book coupons as prizes for their achievement on a score of 80 or above after completing the LIB101 Information Skills online programme.

  • School of Translation and Foreign Languages (1 Students)

After going through this journey of online learning, students have gained new skills for their assignments. Well done!
