Mindfulness Corner

(Issue 176/December 2021)

The Library Mindfulness Corner provides you a place to soothe in times of stress during the exam period. You can take a stress-relieving ball to let-go of the negative feelings or choose a bar of chocolate for recharging your energy. Drawing Zentangles may also be a good way to stay focused and be calm. Leisure readings on blissfulness are ready as well.

Take a break and refresh your mind in the relaxing vibe in the Library.

The Opening of Exploring Mixed Media Art

(Issue 175/November 2021)

The Department of Art and Design presented Exploring Mixed Media Art at the Library. The opening of the Exhibition was held on 19 November. Dr. Rochelle Yang from the Department introduced the Exhibition and art pieces by students of AD1003 Technology I: Pre-digital. Students are excited to have a chance to showcase their handicraft in this meaningful event. Their masterpieces are not bound by the reliance of digital format in the technological era. Instead, diverse artform, nature, texture and media are featured in their 3-dimensional innovation.

It is interesting to know the concepts behind the students’ collage creation ranging from painting to sculpture. The Exhibition is on view through 8 December 2021.
