New Platform : Launch of SearchPlus

The Library’s new search engine – SearchPlus goes live.
From now on you no longer need to search the Library collections and electronic resources in two separate platforms, SearchPlus allows you to search across a wide range of Library resources including books, journals, audio-visual materials, Library’s subscribed e-journals, e-books and more in a single search box.

Library Study Carrels

In the coming December, HSMC Library is going to provide Study Carrels to Library users.
To support self-learning, study and research in an individual zone, Study Carrels, which located on 1/F of HSMC Library are ready for Library users to book in advance and use.
What is study Carrels?
Study Carrels are a quite zone which enables users to use the room for a longer period
i.e. Students for 1 day and Academic Staff for 3 days.
Located on the G/F of the Library, this Area is designed to provide a quiet and spacious seating area in longer opening hours for students’ self-study during the examination period.
To ensure safety, the Area is safeguarded by the Security Guard. Library users are required to present valid student ID to the Security Guard when access the Area via the side door.
