CFA & CPA Collections

Two new collections have been established to provide a dedicated location for learning resources related to two professional examinations, namely CFA and CPA.

CFA Collection

This collection consists of books issued by the CFA Institute. Some items in this collection are also available in electronic format. In addition, a few supplementary publications for helping candidates to sit the CFA examination are also kept there. You are advised to check them in SearchPlus.

CPA Collection

This collection comprises learning resources issued by the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants for its CPA Qualification Program. A set of the latest editions is kept in the Collection.

 

The collections are located on the 1/F of the Library, adjacent to the Group Discussion Rooms A109-110. All items in these collections are available for loan as Circulation Collection.

Knowledge On the Move

Do you know there is over 160, 000 titles of e-books available in the Library for you?

To help you find and use e-books with ease, there is now an E-Books page linking you directly to individual e-book platform. Included here is a comprehensive list of all the e-book collections available from the different databases such as EBSCOhost eBook Collection, Books 24×7, Airiti Books, Sage Knowledge, Taylor & Francis eBooks, EBL, etc. Descriptions of each collection and user guides for each platform are also provided.

You may also search e-books across e-book databases with SearchPlus at one go.

Exhibition – Love around the World

Love around the World – Library Exhibition 14 – 21 Feb 2014

Ever wonder what other cultures think about love? Come and visit our themed exhibition, “Love around the World” at the Library.

Presented by the Student Affairs Office, produced by exchange students, the exhibition provides snapshots of how love is celebrated by different cultures around the world by introducing Valentine’s Day and other related festivals. Details are as follows:

Date :  14 – 21 Feb 2014 (closed on Sat. & Sun.)
 Time: 8:30 am – 6:30 pm
 Venue: Library Exhibition Area, G/F, Block A
 Theme: Love around the World

Exhibition visitors will receive a souvenir on 14 Feb (12:30 pm to 3:30 pm). Do come and enjoy the exhibition.

ScienceDirect ebooks

Contain e-books collections in the subject area of finance and computer science. You can view the collection in full-text PDF chapter by chapter.
