DataStream Online Booking

The Library provides access to DataStream on a standalone workstation situated in the computer cluster on the G/F of the library. Booking on the workstation is now available through the Campus Room Booking System.

About DataStream

DataStream is a global financial and macroeconomic database that provides current and historical time series online data on finance such as stocks, indices, bonds, unit trusts, derivatives and economic indicators. You can also access the I/B/E/S and Worldscope datasets via DataStream.

Invitation to Visit the Exhibition: “書道與文化”– 陳瑞庚教授書法展

To promote Chinese language and culture, the Institute of Chinese Language and Culture (ICLC) has held a Chinese calligraphy exhibition, themed “書道與文化”– 陳瑞庚教授書法展 , till 28 March 2014 (10:30 am – 6:00 pm) on the 2/F of the Library. The exhibition showcases thirteen inspiring Chinese calligraphic works of Professor Chen Ruigeng, which was written in the seminar “書道與文化” held by ICLC on 10 March 2014.

 

Do come and appreciate the hand-written works of Professor Chen.

A Running Start to Your Search: E-Resources by Subjects

Want to know the key databases on your subject?/b>

The Library has updated its list of E-Resources by Subjects. The new list will be more comprehensive with a wider range of subject area of your choice. Online “Info.” and “Guide” are also available.

Go to the Library website, select “Collections” and then click “By Subjects” under “E-Resources”. Choose a subject area and you will find a list of key databases relevant to your subject at a glance.

Access Resources beyond HSMC Library for Final Year Degree Students

Good news for final year degree students
The Library is pleased to announce thatall final year degree students are eligible to borrow the Reader’s Cards of CUHK and Hong Kong Shue Yan University Libraries, upon presenting of valid HSMC student cards.

The reader’s cards allow students to access to the CUHK and Shue Yan University Libraries, use their library resources including printed and some electronic resources, as well as facilities and reference services in the Libraries.
