Exhibition of VolTrekkers Service-learning Award

The Library would co-organise an exhibition together with SAO, which is about the VolTrekkers Service-learning Award. The Exhibition will be showcasing the achievement of VolTrekkers such as a series of service-learning projects catering to the needs of people in Hong Kong, China and Cambodia in the previous year. Experience Day for Academic Staff – New “Discovery” of Your Library

Join us on the experience day for academic staff. The Library will introduce you several significant updates, including NEW RefWorks workshop, useful tips of the new SearchPlus user interface and new Library website, demo on Open Access resources, and installing e-book apps.

 

This is a golden opportunity to raise questions for RefWorks training representative and librarians as well as to share your experience on using the Library.

Reflection @ Library Reading Club

Writing reflection of a book is always a good way to review what you get from it. We received lots of articles on The Alchemist《牧羊少年奇幻之旅》and The Monopolists 《貪婪遊戲:隱藏在大富翁背後的壟斷、陰謀、謊言與真相》and thank you for all the participation in sharing your views on the books. It is truly inspired when reading the articles!

Reading in Summer@ Library Reading Club

Any plan in summer, except doing summer jobs or internship? It may be a good idea to read without heavy course readings. This time, the Library Reading Club continue to invite Dr Anselm Lam from Department of Social Science to guide us to read The Myth of Sisyphus 《薜西弗斯的神話》, a story of discussing “absurdity” (荒謬感) and the value of life written by Albert Camus (卡繆).
