An Exhibition of Watercolour Sketches by Professor Desmond Hui – in Celebration of the Establishment of the Department of Art and Design at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong

慶祝香港恒生大學成立藝術設計系 – 許焯權教授水彩畫速寫展覽

 

The exhibition will showcase two collections of sketches of appealing landscapes and beauty perception crystallized through watercolours by Professor Desmond Hui (Head of Department of Art and Design).

Online Exhibition will be available from 16 July 2020, 5:30 pm.

《北韓一百問》@Library Summer Reading Club

It seems that North Korea is always getting ready to start a war. The country is holding a nuclear sword and continuously threatening to lash out at other nations anytime.

Life in the world’s most secretive state is full of baffling facts. If you want to unlock the mysteries of North Korea, come to join our Summer Reading Club. The Library will organize two reading sessions of the book 《北韓一百問》which contains 100 questions with answers about the secrets of the country. Details are as follows:

Wanna Win the HSUHK X SCMP Entrepreneurship Challenge 2020?

Collaborated with the Wu Jieh Yee Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the Library creates an Entrepreneurship Guide that contains useful resources for students to get ready for the HSUHK X SCMP Entrepreneurship Challenge 2020.

The Guide helps students to discover creditable resources for writing business plans and proposals, as well as making good use of information tools to start a new business.

To gear up for the campaign, make sure you have read this useful guide.

Cinema, Animal and Me – Dogs without Names (狗狗沒有家)

(Issue 140/January 2020)

A heart-warming Japanese docudrama – Dogs without Names (狗狗沒有家) will be rescheduled in the coming February as the grand finale of our screening series ‘Cinema, Animal and Me’.

After the Fukushima nuclear disaster, some dogs and cats were abandoned by owners. The docudrama directed by Akane Yamada focuses on the process of rescuing those animals.
