(Issue 165/April 2021)

Connect and build local communities in Asia without boundaries – is the theme of an exciting project of student groups of the BSS (Hons) of Asian Studies programme.

Amid the Covid-19 epidemic, two groups of Asian Studies students found ways to get exposed to diverse communities and cultures of Asia. One of them surveyed the ethnic foodscape of To Kwa Wan and the other group worked with international students of Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University to explore the rural communities and traditional knowledge of Japan.
