Cosenza is a city in the Calabria region in southern Italy famous for its Accademia Cosentina since the 16th Century. I have a friend from this region whose family owns a vineyard; they produce a famous local brand, Terre del Gufo (meaning lands of the owl). In May of one year, I was invited to spend a few days at the vineyard to experience both the vintage and the scenery.
